Read this front to back before grad school,
This book provides essential nutrition basics. It is easy to understand and you can lift it without back strain. I bought it while midway through my graduate courses in nutrition, though should have read it before and used it as a reference during.

This book is thorough and does not make assumptions. It definitely states when a theory is a theory as opposed to fact. It is easy to understand and a great asset in continuing nutrition education. I do wish the book companion site was more interactive, but overall great book.

|Rent don’t buy,
I rented this book from Amazon for a couple of classes I was taking in my Dietetics program for pennies on what it would have cost me to rent it from the University book store. I ended up going with the kindle version and I was pleasantly surprised by being able to use the search features for looking things up quickly and referencing. I used this on my Macbook pro and if you are writing a research paper it auto cite’s for your bibliography (great feature!)!!! The material can be dry at times but it had everything I needed for class in an easy format. The rental program is the way to go!
